Arvantis Social Foundation scales activities to increase its impact

Founded in 2020 with the purpose of supporting charitable projects in the fields of education and sustainability, the non-profit Arvantis Social Foundation gGmbH now takes one step further in its commitment by launching its impact investment branch.

When we launched the Arvantis Social Foundation back in 2020, we started with our first pillar, which is providing financial aid, such as regular donations to SchlaU (school-like education program for refugees), Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, Leaders for Climate Action or Ashoka.

By challenging how to increase the impact of our work beyond monetary assistance, we decided to leverage our existing Arvantis Group expertise in the fields of technology, renewable energy and real estate to drive own philanthropic projects – our second pillar. As a result, the foundation’s first projects emerged, including a social housing project in Berlin-Moabit as well as a school competition award in Munich on climate protection.

Lately, we extended our commitment by becoming active in the field of impact investments – our third pillar. We just launched the Arvantis Social Foundation Impact Investment GmbH as 100% subsidiary of our non-profit foundation, which will focus on impact investments in national and international ventures that develop scalable solutions to the challenges of our times. Launching this third pillar marks another milestone for Arvantis Social Foundation’s endeavour of not only supporting but also creating sustainable and scalable impact.
